"Spots was created to give students the opportunity to travel to new places and meet new people without having to break the bank! Users can find students who are offering their living space on demand at an affordable price. “Travel on a Whim!” is our tagline and we are constantly coming up with new ways to facilitate this mode of travel.

Sponsoring the Silk Road Project was immediately an attractive idea to the Spots team. While the platform is currently available only in the US, soon in Europe, and, who knows, perhaps one day in Asia as well, we saw this not as an opportunity to gain users in the areas covered during this expedition, but as a way for us to nurture the novelty of travelling on a whim. Yes, the trip has been in the making for years and plans were orchestrated months ago, but what The Silk Road Project Team envision embodies the heart of our mission statement. The notion that travel, above all else, can be spontaneous, farfetched, and rewarding is what drives our company. We know that our app is promoting this culture, and we are honored to dedicate ourselves to the success of this expedition".

Momentum World

"Momentum World creates international opportunities. Our aim is to increase young people’s understanding of global issues, and their access to international projects of all kinds, because we believe there is no better way to develop employability and promote intercultural understanding: two things which are fundamental to a better world for everyone.

The Silk Road Project team are embarking on an epic journey which will have an amazing and far reaching impact. The experience will launch them into their further careers by giving them a great story to tell, but the story itself will also inspire others in the telling. For Momentum World, it doesn't matter whether the journey is long or short, or the destination near or far: the important thing is having the motivation to set out in the first place. Then there is no looking back, and often the harder part is coming home and finding that you are not who you were and the people who stayed behind appear different - in that sense, perhaps all travel is time travel. We look forward to following the Silk Road story as it unfolds, and beyond".

Polaroid have agreed a product partnership with the Silk Road Project.

"When Dr. Edwin Land, the founder of Polaroid, introduced the world to the groundbreaking invention of instant photography in 1943, the innovative process was coined the "Magic of Instant." Quite literally it was magic as no one had ever seen an image magically develop just moments after a photograph was taken.  At Polaroid, we believe that the magic of instant photography is preserved even after a photo fully develops because of the story behind it; the story that may be initially hidden to the viewer but was instrumental to the photographer and the creation of the photo."
